'Dorothy Rees’ displays large ruffled white blooms mid-spring. These pearl white blooms shine being 3.25 inches in size and make an even bigger statement in the garden. By adding white color, the blooms on ‘Dorothy Rees’ contrasts so well with everything. White creates a sense of calm and purity in the landscape. ‘Dorothy Rees’ has a nice dense rounded habit reaching 2-3 ft in height and width in 10 years. ‘Dorothy Rees’ was named to honor of Fred and Dorothy Rees who were good friends of hybridizer Robert Gartrell of the Robin Hill azalea series.
